Romantic breakups are onerous to manoeuvre through, without question. Their tangled network and complexity are overwhelming.

Any relationship, however, involves complex dynamics that are, for the want of a better word, dynamite. Our regular friendships are no exception.

As with a romantic partner, its hard to 'break up' with a friend because of nostalgia and emotional attachments. Unresolved issues abound. Social expectations often entail lasting frienships, which make breakups especially explosive.

The feelings must be acknowledge with a touches of grace and tact. Communicating needs is key, as is a little introspection.

Enjoy this reverse breakup nonet.

Worn bracelet

Coloured threads cut

Cannot be rejoined

For all the tangled threads

And all coloured desires

Cut the threads with a gentle snip

But never fail to dwell on their hues.
