Explicit Poetry II
A reflection of my thought patterns and feelings at the time I was overworking myself on a regular basis. With a goal in mind and steps in place to reach that goal, consistency is a key to success; among others. However, adequate rest is a part of progress & overall growth. Something I didn't take into consideration at the time, which has had a lasting effect on my overall mental health. At the time I simply tried to keep my head up, but that obviously is not enough. So this is written to help anyone who's made the same mistake, and hopefully prevent someone else from making it.

The key to success is consistency and this poetry'll describe it explicitly
I'll sample my history as an example to breakdown this mystery
Something I can seem to do consistently
But it's hard to commit when thoughts and feelings conflict But I can never consent to being content
So please forgive my aggressive ambitions and all the decisions that come from this vision
Cuz I'm not playin' around, there's no game of charades in my memory
And no I'm not perfect, every bad choice is a stain in my memory
When going through growing pains I make the choice to parade through the rain
I'm not lookin' for the world to remember me, just to read through this poetry
To take a serious listen, no meanings are hidden
I like my experience to be explicitly written
To give someone a piece of my mind in hope that they find some peace in their mind
I have a wish to heal broken hearts so for that I polish my art
I'd like to abolish the frauds and demolish the odds
And in doing so acknowledge the honest
This is something I honestly hope to accomplish
But in such a short life I can't make a promise
It's explicitly written so no it's not modest
It's written exactly, and honest
A consistent commitment to poetry explicitly written
About the Creator
Josh Morgan
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
