every summer - US
a poem to the boy I see every summer
By Jolene NoackPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

The timer on my phone says: eighty-eight days,
until I leave to got back home.
Enjoying the rest in my own pace,
oh - I wish I would have known.
The beautiful spots around my house,
YOU only living a minute away from me.
Looking up into the clouds,
finally feeling free.
I met you really unexpected,
was not looking to fall in love.
Realized how fast we connected,
now saying goodbye and going home is getting though.
Oh - how I wish we had more time,
but I will be back - in one year - when the sun starts to shine.
