We live in such a fast-paced and busy world,
that we forget,
or do not even think about,
stopping and resting.
We are just as important as those we care for,
so we should give ourselves that precious time
to basically ‘look after ourselves’.
Our bodies and minds
are not machines
and need rest.
This is important to remember!
When we give ourselves time
to rest, refresh and rejuvenate,
we are respecting ourselves,
our bodies and our minds.
It is important
to put “self-care” at the top of the list
because we want to have
healthy bodies and healthy minds.
Taking five or ten minutes
every day
for ourselves
is not selfish but necessary.
We want
to be healthy and happy.
We ‘deserve’
to be healthy and happy.
When you are tired,
listen to your body and mind
and stop for that cup of tea,
and make sure you have a proper lunch.
We say it to others
so we should
‘listen to our own words’.
Respect.
Honour.
Care for yourself
— every single day.
