There are no fireworks,

butterflies or rainbows.

But when you sleep,

your spine fits perfectly

With the contour of my chest.

It’s not about strawberries or champagne.

It’s about your favourite roast

that only I can make,

and the smile that doesn’t leave your face

when you wash my car.

This poem is beautiful and has a deep, tender quality to it. It’s expressing the quiet intimacy of a relationship, focusing on the comfort and connection that comes from simply being close to someone. The imagery of the spine fitting the contour of the chest is powerful, it suggests a kind of alignment that goes beyond physical attraction, into something much more subtle and meaningful.

This is a winner! Love really is about giving without expectation, just the joy of giving. And it works best when there is reciprocation.

Yes!! That is great! I relate! The local car dealership owner said as he spoke with my husband and I said, "He really takes good care of you, and I can tell how he looks at you that you take good care of him too!" My favorite dealership now. Those car salesman know how to get your business!😉😂😂

This is simple yet deeply intimate—the kind of love that isn’t loud but lingers in everyday moments. No grand gestures, just quiet devotion. Beautiful.
