Enough
-*-
A daily walk to keep me aligned,
immersed in music to block the noise;
clenching my life's book for its spine,
holding the fortress safe from accloys.
-*-
Mindfulness trips that no longer surprise,
aware of the arounds while engaged away;
why is that my soul,
(while is holding its cries),
pretends that those walks
are its personal dray?
-*-
A daily walk to stay down-to-earth,
immersed in reflections about my path;
balancing arrears with my heart's worth
hoping my soul doesn't take a bath.
-*-
Mindfulness trips that are needed so much,
solitude is, after all, sometimes tough;
no friends, no pets; not even an SO,
but there is always "me",
and me, for now,
should be enough.

Alex Torres
Started writing short stories back in 1988 at work, when I had an empty page to fill for the employee's internal magazine. Taking the pen again after a 30 year-long hiatus, exploring where it takes me this time.
