England needs a few Pied Pipers

Rats!

By Novel AllenPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 2 min read

Have you heard the news

About the Rodentia situation?

Rodentia, of the genus Rattus

Rats, rats everywhere

Super-rat warning

Over 300 MILLION mutant rodents in UK -

Brits urged not to put out poison

Monstrous super-rats which are immune to poison

Are descending on Britain, the experts have warned

With the ability to chew through concrete and metal

And are thought to be living out of sight in the UK

A rise in fast food revolution since the start of lockdown

Has led to an explosion in rats breeding within walls, basements and attics of British homes

Pest control experts warn the vermin are "taking over".

Rats

"They're cunning and getting bolder and bolder".

Pied Piper

"Basically, if they want to get into your home, they will".

"There are more rats than ever and they are taking over. I have seen some the size of cats".

"Rats need to gnaw as their teeth grow continuously and gnawing keeps them sharp.

They can chew through soft metals such as tin, aluminum, copper and lead,

But have been known to gnaw marks on steel, various hard plastics such as waste pipes and terracotta pipes - as well as concrete walls".

A new study found that over the past 20 years, rats have been slowly developing immunity to poison.

As many as 78 per cent of the rodents are thought to now have genes that may tolerate anticoagulant rodenticides.

The British Pest Control Association has warned that too many people attempting to deal with rat infestations themselves had likely made the problem worse.

It warned a failure to properly use over-the-counter repellents has led to rats growing bigger in size and strength rather than dying.

"The rodents have become resistant and, in some cases, immune to off-the-shelf poisons to the point where they're actually feeding off the toxic pellets, which means their size and strength are increasing".

RATS!

We need a few Pied Pipers!

Did you know that the rat represents the first of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.

People born in this year are expected to possess qualities associated with rats, including creativity, intelligence, honesty, generosity, ambition, a quick temper and wastefulness.

I can’t remember what happens to the rats in pied piper…. I remember the children followed him, must have been the rats too. I use to like that story but it sounds a little more creepy when you are older. This was very funny. It thought this was a legitimate news reports was about to call animal services! Or the teenage mutant ninja turtles..they are friends the rats! 😹 anyway have a rat-a-tat day!

I like rats, they're really clean but they get dirty because of all the pollution. I liked the last part of what you wrote, it was a nice way to end the writing. Thanks for sharing.
