Emotional War

A daily battle within...

-Smile, things are perfectly fine

-Smile, life’s so Devine

-Smile, to not would be a crime, even though deep inside I feel no where near sublime

-Smile, I hope no one will notice, its a fake, unauthentic, & completely bogus

-I'm suffering from emotional war but no one can ever know this

-Remember, just keep smiling

-Never show the meaning is beguiling

-Or I'm truly sad & I could start crying

-They'll see everything is perfect if I just keep smiling

-I smile, to make them believe I feel great

-But it's a lie, honestly, I wish I didn't wake

-I can't reveal, years of pain & heartache

-People knowing, I have issues, I simply couldn’t take

-Remember, just keep smiling

-Never show the meaning is beguiling

-Or that I'm truly sad & I could start crying

-They'll see everything is perfect if I just keep smiling

-I'm tired, no strength to fake it anymore

-For real, face & heart way too sore

-To heal, I'm laying all my burdens on the floor

-For any hopes of being saved, from this emotional war

THE END
