-Who am I?
-I know what society says I am
-I know how my parents raised me to be
-I know how religion requires me to live for an everlasting eternity
-However, none of those things are helpful since they don't truly identify the identity of me
-So, I honestly don't know who I am
-Disturbing to admit out loud I know, believe me
-But who am I? Perhaps you have the answer key?
-A seemingly simple question, answer not as quite
-Whatever the answer is, it's far from obvious & trite
-Knowing who I am is the key to being free
-Lord hear my plea & help, expose me to me
-I know who I try & convince myself I am
-I know who I try to prove to others I am
-I know who & what I don't want to be
-Still, none of that answers these important questions for me
-Who am I? Shouldn’t I already know? Why is knowing who you are not instinct?
-Not knowing is alarming & has me feeling incomplete
-I need know who I am
-A seemingly simple question, answer not as quite
-Whatever the answer is, it's far from obvious & trite
-Knowing who I am is the key to being free
-Lord hear my plea & help, expose me to me
-Who am I?
