Eli Eli Lama Sabachtani
My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me

Matthew 27:45–46 NIV
From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. [46] About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).
He came
To pay
A price
For our sins!
~~~
He came a king
The King of humanity
Broken for our
Sins
They placed a
Crown of thorns
Upon his head
Piercing until
He bled
Our Saviors blood
The cost for
Our sins.
~~~
Mocked and ridiculed
They did their best
To make a spectacle
Of him
But there was something
They did not see
His divine glory!
~~~
Carrying the weight
Of our sins
Upon that tree
He cried out
Eli, Eli Lema
Sabathani
Separated from
Glory in that moment
He felt the weight of
Of humanities
Broken and sinful
Hearts
Upon that
Cross!
He paid the
Price for our
Sins
Endured it all
For you
And me
But he rose
Again
Even death
Could not
Hold him.
