^ Ads are never-ending for drugs to treat diseases that few have heard about..

^ Side effects are numerous, so the announcer reads them in double time.

> What is in the drug? "Don’t take it if you’re allergic to what it's all about."

⏩ The double-time cadence of the speaker spells out the side effects, making it seem no one should take it.

🤔?? Random ideas run through my brain: A) Do they have company contests to name new drugs? B) Could they better allocate funds to help people stay healthy rather than treating health issues after they appear?

Each individual could consult their physician, list many of their symptoms, thinking they are candidates for new compounds or capsules.

Not a statement against medicine or prescriptions that people need. There are more comments on how many think it's easier to take a pill than work on staying healthy; and the doctors who give patients ten minutes, not treating the individual, and writing a script to move on to the next patient. Healthcare is not health care. It is sick care.

So many drugs on the market now. I have 2 granddaughters caught up in the medical system. Prevention is hard work. A pill is easier.

I avoided pills in my younger years, spent thousands of hard earned dollars at doctors, nothin wrong they said. Then in UK, they find its my heart, exercising and trying to eat well be damned, its hereditary, u were always going to have heart troubles, doc said. Surgery and I am stuck with pills, AAARGH! Fixing the heart but sucking the calcium from my bones. We will never win if we have to take pills. We should have listened to the Native Americans and all of the herbalists who really know plant and natural medicine. Some parts of the world still do...I should move there. Love the article and the outrage...so warranted.

It's definitely #sickcare now rather than true health care.

My favorite part of the remote is the mute button. And my rule about meds is if you see it on TV, you can't afford it.

You are so right on this subject. The one's I feel sorry for are elderly with dementia with other psych issues for it seems these drugs are could cause stroke or death. Good job.

  • What you're saying is so true. To maintain our health, we have to consciously improve a lot of things in our lifestyle. That's why people prefer popping pills, because it's easier and faster. They're not treating the root cause but just masking the symptoms. And of course the medical industry wants to treat the sick rather than keep people healthy. If not, how else are they gonna get money. It's all about money. Always has been. It's just so sad
