Echoes of Lost Love

When Memories Hurt More Than Goodbye

By The Content CrafterPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Echoes of Lost Love

When this sorrow starts to sting too deep,

The days of joy begin to creep.

I lost in a moment what took years to gain,

A heart once full now bears the pain.

No one bought it, not even for free,

Yet they tried to devalue the heart in me.

Many trees were cut from root to crown

When we began to build new roads around.

Our loyalty, it never found its place,

So they burned the letters, erasing each trace.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll return one day—

With that hope, we deck our homes and stay.

Another Means This Poems

When sorrow weighs heavy on my mind,

Memories of happiness aren’t far behind.

In a moment, I lost what took years to find,

A dream now shattered, love left behind.

No heart was ever sold for cheap,

Yet they lowered its worth, making it weep.

Many roots were torn from the ground

To build new paths where none were found.

My loyalty was never enough,

So they burned my words, cold and rough.

Maybe someday they'll find their way,

And with that hope, I decorate each day.
