Easy Chairs
And In Between

the stillness of the night paused
embracing the velvet moon
she felt like the july sky
and he fell like leaves, too soon
hazy taillights on the pavement
the cool, damp breeze blows by
some things don't last forever
a red lipstick kiss goodbye
we're caught in different worlds
two lives just crossing paths
forget about the rules
accept the aftermath
and if there really is a heaven
promise you will meet me there
beneath unanswered questions
where hope waits in easy chairs

What a poignant reflection on the fleeting nature of connections, Kelli. It reminds me of how we all navigate these transient worlds, hoping for answers beyond. Beautifully doneβyour words linger like that cool breeze.
loved it!!
