Earthen Vessel

Your cracks, even shards, are part of what makes you beautiful.

God uses broken vessels

and He infills them with gold.

He makes them more beautiful

than when they were whole.

...

Though I have cried a thousand pounds of tears,

I'm still here

because God cared,

and He hears me.

...

He sees me.

...

He loves me.

...

And I have laughed for a million hours

Because God never forgets what's ours.

The love He shared with my parents

Showers over me.

...

His goodness and mercy follow me.

...

His faithfulness covers me.

...

Love is safe when you've been selfish.

and dangerous when you throw your self aside.

I make a daring wish

and I decide to throw my self aside.

...

For I am not the only one who is bright.

There are those who are able to blind with their light.

I only hope that what shines from within is Christ,

for love is what outshines the darkness of night.
