Duality Continued
Strangely Familiar
Don’t look too close as you pass by those mountains
Chances are you won’t like what you see
Faces carved match the ones on the fountains
Some faces quadrupled, at least
And they gather around with their glasses
Drinking like they’ve found the fountain of youth
Subtracting years as they add to the masses
With some now, strangely resembling you
See, all who pass through is a donor
Unbeknownst, you have planted a seed
It is you, but considerably younger
You have everything now that they need
Eerily drawn, you won’t be gone for long
Though you won’t fully know what it is
But the urge to return will become much too strong
Before you know it, you’ll be moving in
Rumors say, that deep inside it’s crevice
Lining the walls, keeping the bloodline alive
Are the original bodies being refaced
Time after time after time
Only now, it’s your face on the hillside
Soon enough, no one will notice you’re gone
On the walls, in the depths of that mountain
Everyday another you will become
