Dry Scream

Acrostic Poem

Still, motionless, frozen in my skin.

I let out a dry scream, or attempt to.

Laying my head down.

Escape, I must, but my limbs revolt.

“No, no, no!” My soul bellows.

Cold floor. He leaves me, finally.

Erase the memory of sexual assault.

Wow - profound to say the least. Such an impact. Well done.

  • Perfectly written to describe the assault that too many of us have faced. I like the cover photo too. Thank you for your writings.
