Drowning in You

For Love

By Cai FoxPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

I sit here drowning, lost in the wait,

For words from you to unlock my fate.

I miss you daily, a constant ache,

A love so deep, it keeps me awake.

I long to hold you, to call you mine,

But I can’t fix me, I’m lost in time.

How can I give you the love you deserve,

When my own foundation starts to swerve?

You're on my mind, an endless song,

Eighty percent, where my thoughts belong.

I can't escape, can't beat the motion,

You’re the tide in my restless ocean.

You are my person, my heart, my muse,

In a world of chaos, you’re what I choose.

Even in doubt, even in strife,

I’ll find my way to you, my life.
