Dropping Breadcrumbs in the Wind

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

[Verse]

You dropped bread crumbs

On the forest floor

A trail I never saw before

You whispered to the trees I passed

But I never stopped to ask

Now the leaves are thick

The sky is gray

I finally see ee the signs you left that day

[Chorus]

Breadcrumbs in the wind

They scatter and spin

I’m leaving them now

Hoping you’ll call again

Through time

Through space

Through the veil so thin

Baby, find my breadcrumbs in the wind

Please find my bread crumbs in the wind

[Verse 2]

The moonlight flickers on the stream

I trace your steps inside my dreams

Every shimmer feels like you

But fades before I find the truth

[Prechorus]

I’m calling out

I’m reaching through

Hoping these crumbs will lead to you

[Chorus]

Breadcrumbs in the wind

They scatter and spin

I’m leaving them now

Hoping you’ll call

Through time

Through space

Through the veil so thin

Baby, find my breadcrumbs in the wind

Please find my breadcrumbs in the wind
