-- You, who have never heard me sing,

Can you know the heart warmth or feel the sting

That my words-to-music strive to bring? --

The seasons are shifting in the night

The summer blue is fading in the early autumn light

South along the Cascades has always been a pleasant ride

Until now, as it pulls me from your side

(Chorus)

And I wonder where you've been

And I wonder where you'll go, once you set sheets to the wind

Don't know when we'll meet again

So here's a kiss, for you my friend

(2X)

Pondies pass and click away. the miles

I recall the last time we hugged, it still brings on a smile

'Tho miles serve to seperate our ways

There's no doubt we'll meet again someday

(Chorus)

It seems hard to escape the silly fear

Of looking to the past, of checking out the rear view mirror

But I crave the comfort that every time I do

The road I see will lead me back to you!

(Chorus)
