Don’t Call Me Muse

"You want our womb, so that we can raise your child." "But all you scored was a moving goal post." Such a profound piece, Caitlin, and the above lines hit me fast and hard. I once knew such a man- he fathered my youngest two children. I left that mess years ago. He, whose name is not worth mentioning, destroyed my confidence, abused me, and, worse, got left behind, so I could raise my children in peace. Congratulations on leading the leadership board this week❣

Well done, my lady - you sure kick me goals lately. I feel bad because I missed this first time around; I have been a bit inconsistent lately; a lot is going on personally. That reminds me I need to friend you on Facebook, but I would like to let you know I am not a good communicator there. Back to your poem, Brilliant. As I said in my insight, Heartfelt and totally relatable. I have had my share of cheating, but the way you expressed it in your poem was something else. "Men" who do these things never really grew up, they just live perpetually as infantile gratification that debases themselves. No authority whatsoever and pathetic as they come. Writing about them in a poem...just the right spell... Shhh...

Wow Caitlin. This is both amazing and tragic. It's true that so many good women end up with a man like this. I think social media has ruined everyone. No one knows what they truly want or how to act and then when they get something good, they're too traumatized to trust it. Both men and women, I think. Magnificent piece. 💜💜 But my heart hurts because of it.

“ Take that screen out of my face. You have left me to die.” Ooh, I felt this in the marrow of my bones. The speaker in this poem deserves so much more goodness and appreciation than she receives. I want to put my foot up that dude’s ass.

My mother is a powerful figure in our lives. Business owner and she never put up with mens crap. We were brought up to appreciate anyone as a person and an individual. It amazes me that we are still dealing with this type of dilemma. Caitlin, Look out for you, first.
