Buy him a guitar instead

Let him learn the beauty and creation of music

Let him learn to express his pain and heartache

Through the frets and strumming of his instrument

Teach him ball skills and pride of accomplishment

Teach him how to interact with others and teamwork

Discuss with him what he has read and learnt

Through the eyes of other’s experiences

Teach him to stand firm and not lash out
