Does it Matter?

A Poem

By Mihaela VasilevaPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

Does it matter what I say?

You’ll be here, and go away.

It’s fine if that’s not the way.

I shouldn’t hope that you’ll stay.

Does it matter how I act?

Should brace myself for impact.

I’ll crash right into the fact.

‘Twas control that I lacked.

Does it matter what I think?

My thoughts are pools, and I sink.

There one and gone with a blink.

Maybe I should stir my own drink.

Does it matter how I see?

Lately my sight doesn’t comfort me.

You made your promises, I remember well.

But you never told me, that it’s lies you sell.
