Do You Know?

a poem

By Nizam Uddin ApouPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

Do you know? My love for you,

Surpasses the prophet's love for god.

I would bring for you all the happiness of the world,

Even if it was the moon or the priceless Kohinoor.

But what to do, I'm just a mere beggar,

Who has nothing but love for you.

Do you know? I want to conquer the world,

Just to put a happy smile on your face,

I would like to fulfill your every wish,

But what to do? I'm a poor cripple,

Who is only capable of loving you.

Did you know? It hurts the hell out of me,

When I see sadness and tears in your eyes.

Every drop of your tears, every word of your anger,

Wounds my heart with a sharp knife.

Like a butcher's weapon cuts a goat.

I want to devote my life beneath your feet,

Oh My Beloved! Do you know?
