Life Imprisonment

a poem

Life Imprisonment

I am a man of Ego,

Who let many of his own people go,

I'm a merciless beast,

For this ego missed a lot of feast.

My kindness and ego had a fight,

In which ego won taking away the light,

I couldn't forgive the people I care,

Though my mind wanted it to be fair.

I lost a lot of my own,

Though for them now I'm unknown,

Forgiving is much easier than hate,

As one doesn't have to be in life imprisonment.
