Do Not Rot

Poem

By Spencer funkPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Gateway inward

Arranged within a crooked line wrapping around the stand

Spies speak in broken languages trying diligently to pry information from the lines server

Stabbed in the chest with surgical scissors left in the field

When desire is put to absolute shame without rhyme or reason

When the time of approval peaks it’s head past it’s celestial dawn

Out came mechanical suit

Designed to drag away our vehicles when they ultimately fall

Sacrificial offering of the black rubber heart

Triumph of the will that us to be a soul

Tan scenery under clear skies

Dusk accumulating in a cloud at the feet of formation

When hope is lost light shines inward

To receive the wicked for what they are

Was your point made properly? My trust was burdened

You watched as we fell and at your hands

Trusted friend

Release the past for the time of war has begun

Use your logic to outsmart the robot

Do not rot
