Adventures in the Dark

Couldn't see anything

Was hoping that there might be something

Hopefully things would improve

Wasn't sure where we were going

Time to sit back and enjoy the adventure

But didn't know what to expect

If something could light up that would be great

Never know what we might see in this state

I am sure you can relate

Continuing on

Then everything exploded in a flash of light

This was totally unexpected on this night

Some got a fright

But in this amazing light

everything became so bright

We saw all the colours

Didn't know some existed

It was impossible to be resisted

We persisted

As someone insisted

Some things are not possible in the light

But we thoroughly enjoyed this night

It was such an amazing sight

Nothing to be missed

Sounded like some even hissed

Some definitely kissed

The night air was certainly crisp

Some in the dark

Stood out with contrast

It was such a blast
