Dirty Schemes

Stabbed in back

I thought you were there to help pave the way.

I trusted you in every single way.

But I fell for your dirty schemes,

Realized you only lead me on about my dreams.

I called you out when I saw through you,

You proceeded to justify yourself in a mocking way too,

Yet you decided to block me and never answer my call,

However I hear you best when you say nothing at all.

You took advantage of someone vulnerable,

Breaking away was something I felt I couldn’t do.

I tried to tell you I sought merely validation,

Even though only one I need is from a divine creation.

It still feels like I have a knife in my back,

Can’t seem to pull it out and get back on track.

Why I thought so highly of you I can’t believe,

As all you did was me deceive.
