Dinosaurs will roar as their world they know is no more.

I.

Dinosaurs will roar.

There’s not much

you can do.

They’ll bemoan

the long-lost days

when they roamed the Earth

at will.

They’ll scream

about the new world coming

no matter how

good it gets.

II.

Dinosaurs will roar

as their penultimate moment

comes to a close.

They fear

the world coming.

They fear

the world going

that they once knew.

III.

Roar they will.

Thrash they will

at the demons

in their minds.

For the world’s changing

And they know

this new world is not for them.

IV.

And that roar

is only a wail

of lament.

For their time is up.

and change

They can’t concede.

Their time is up.
