Extinction and rebirth
We were apex gods
Majestic in form and might
Unchallenged, we ruled
..........
Amphibians, birds,
reptiles, all feared our God-ness
Then extinction came.
..........
We died and they lived.
They recolonized the land:
Repopulation.
...........
Ecosystems grew...
Gods can fall. Mighty or small...
Learn to co-exist.
