That it was ok, what you were doing?
Did she have a ready justification
For how you were breaking my heart?
Did you first speak of me with fondness
When you told her about me?
Did I slowly become a taboo topic
Or did you tire of me quickly?
When I called on our anniversary
And you didn't answer
Was she there to see
You reject the call?
Did your bond feel special
As she comforted you through your guilt?
Because after all
You've actually found true love this time.
Did you tell her she was the one
That you wanted to be with
When you came to see me
Silent, and only smiling at your phone?
Did you run to her
When you finally ended it?
Relieved to be done
With the one you would love forever?
