Diamond Head's Glow

Formidable Diamond Head Crater

By Salote T FaotusiaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Inside Diamond Head Crater

Was it only yesterday

I swear

your warmth and your beauty

will enthrall me forever

now, there is no comfort

only pain

In spite of it all

you have not changed

it was me

only myself to blame

In the early morning

your glow embraces

infusing

my body drew strength

In the evening

a reddish-orange hue

promises of something new

expectancy revived

now, in my hour of need

my Diamond Head

you stand cold, formidable

daring me to bow

frozen still

a sudden flash

shadows flee

your colors, burst

In the silence

a soft white glow, gently

whispers

I am your equal.
