Daystar christens mist praying in a September meadow

Eminence dries all tears, soaking a first morning lawn

Warmth meets mizzle in a pre-autumn collaboration

White noise therapy soothes, sings; hymns become symmetry

Opalescence arrangement, background vocals let Sun take the lead

Prisms, lowland rainbows, dewbows from dewdrops; song of light, dewwop

Author's note: The fundamentals of Doo-Wop inspired my poem.

I've never heard of Doo-Wop style of music before (sorry!) 😂 But this poem is gorgeously written; there'a harmony to it all. You always inspire me to write a poem of my own, Marilyn (and I'm not much of a poet, lol).

  • Visions of rainbows refracted by the local irrigation systems.

Beautiful Marilyn. You have such talent.

  • The first line made me think of running through a sprinkler as a kid, amazing writing!

  • Such a graceful blend of nature and melody. “Dewbows from dewdrops” is pure poetry. You turned morning light into music—beautiful work!

Beautiful words and photo and could this be a Do-Wop song. Good job.
