locked up inside

Dark waters pour inside my head

Dark waters from Hades,

Dark waters that shine in my heart

You sent me a devastating valentine

That stole all my joy

I had too much love for your angry Fallen Angel energy

With my hug to you, you hit me

With a kiss you bruise me

With a dream you made a living nightmare

The keys fall off the table

Dark waters pour on me like honey

As I hide behind the stars like the night sky is my violet-crushed blue blanket

Like a secret lit cave that has a disco ball of light that is only created in heaven

The light holds me tight

As the horrendous valentine decays inside of me

Dark waters, drowning my heart

Dark waters, drowning my heart

Strange you should write this while I was thinking of an ex. My mind knew he was trouble but my heart melted because he was so handsome. Your poem reminds me of him and the six months I spend with him. Great writing. It captures every emotion.
