DELICATE FLOWER

Delicate flower
Growing inside a burning tree
Wondering from a far
What is it she sees
A bird?
Roaming the skies
Free
Free
The delicate flower feels they’re in limbo
No sense of reality
No heartbeat
Everything seems to be a dream
Nothing matters
But, the delicate flower
Wants to see everything
All the flower does is imagine what they could be
The skies get darker
The skies get lighter
Her tears fall
Harder
Harder
Through spring
Through winter
Through fall
Through Summer
Attached to a burning tree
Her mind
Wonders
Wonders
Today
Today
Tomorrow
Tomorrow
