deep pressure
I'm feeling congested today in every sense.
sometimes i think i love too deep
the kind of pressure only a mollusk would know
or whatever it is that lives 40,000 feet down
people seem assured by the shores but
that seems foolish to me
to never wonder what lies beneath
the quiet crush of time and salt
beautiful dangers lurk under surfaces
facades give way to rot and decay
in this mushroom sort of way
soft blooming ruin
but maybe that's too much of a paradox
maybe no one loves and hates the way i do
i'm drowning in myself
forgot to bring a life raft
oops.
