A little more to go...

It takes a village to raise an idiot.

Clothes make the man wonder if he has spent too much money.

Self-pity is a drug that you deal to yourself.

Writing in a library can feel like painting in a museum.

A tie is only one step away from a noose.

Japanese food always seems like a dare.

Gossip is like eating potato chips: you can never stop at one.

You can judge a person by whom they choose to laugh with.

Canadian food is a way to keep the mouth and tongue active without them being amused.

The religious are comforted by what they cannot see; the non-believer by what they can see too clearly.

Human beings become less violent as they age because they begin to understand what can be lost.

The great regrets of one generation are the accepted habits of the next generation.

Don't judge a boob by its cleavage.

Ah, Mr. Clemens...you know me so well.

I laughed at the Canadian food one, lol. Almost all of these were cause for extra moments of thought for me. The tie, the writing in a library, self-pity, the non-religious. The way your mind works is so entertaining, and I very much enjoyed this.

  • Snippets of wisdom & wry humor.

  • Self-pity is a drug that you deal to yourself. Writing in a library can feel like painting in a museum. A tie is only step away from a noose. These 3 lines were my favourite! Loved your poem!

'The great regrets of one generation are the accepted habits of the next generation'. I worry for the younger generation. Thia is so true. This was so profound. 'Writing in a library can feel like painting in a museum'. My favorite.

These are so witty! 🩷 “A tie is only step away from a noose.” — I feel like a word is missing here.

  • "Writing in a library can feel like painting in a museum." that's a good one, there's a great library here but I've never had the desire to write there. Always go to a coffee shop full of noise and activity instead.
