If I am the clay
You are the potter
And I am trying desperately
Not to mirror your mould
But toxicity reaps
Toxicity
Someone facing
A knife painted
In their blood is
Bound to pick up
A weapon of their own
❀
You wait til I’m
At my lowest and
Then bury me
Beneath rock bottom
❀
A drowning person always
Claws at the nearest swimmer
But how guilty should I feel
When that person is
Holding my head under?
❀
You tell me
I made my bed
I deserve to lie in it
But you welded the chains
You clasped the restraints
Around my wrists
How can you say
I did this to myself
When you’re the one
Who threw away
The key?
❀
My biggest fear isn’t you
It’s becoming like you
❀
(But let’s be honest
I couldn’t even if
I tried)

Great job

Wow. This one took me to my childhood 🥺 Powerful poetry 👏
Wow. This is fantastic. Well done, as always.
Awwsome!!! Fantastically written!!!❤️❤️💕
Whoaaaa, as always, these narcissist poems hit me hard because it's exactly how I felt before. I loved this so much!
I really appreciate how firmly you attribute responsibilities here, and I love the imagery you use to do it.
I love this entire series! I wish all narcissists could read it and be triggered by it. ‘Cause deep down they know the truth about themselves. That’s why they’re good at hiding it initially. They know they’re rotten to the core.
I was recently accused of being a horrible narcissist by another creator on here. Oh please, don't let me be like this. Please! That continuous baiting, projecting what we're doing onto those to whom we are doing it. It boggles the mind, making me so dizzy I no longer know what is up or down, right or wrong.
Wow! I need to go back and read the others now!
I hope you’re alright. Heartfelt poem!
