Dear Mama Luna

Dear Mama Luna,

Though you gracefully greet us with your white carpet entrance night after night,

I never tire of gazing upon you with immense wonder and delight.

You emerge when the bustling day has concluded-when all words are said and deeds done,

And dote upon us a calming peace as you gently reflect the sun.

At times you feel so far away and at others you seem so close to me,

Your size is relative to our surroundings, teaching us that perspective is key.

Astrologically, you are my ruling planet and the true mother of emotion,

I smile at you each night with a pure amazement the deepest sense of devotion.

Bathing in your moonlight helps me reset, restore, and relax,

My energy levels sync up with your state, as you marvelously wane and wax.

Thank you for reminding us to to truly feel our feelings- to look inward where they reside,

And celebrate the full spectrum of our sentiments that mimic the push and pull of the ocean’s tide.

While the sun represents the head’s logic, you capture the heart’s essence,

And when reason and intuition work in tandem, it is pure magnificence!

I’m truly honored to be one of your children- for your magic and mysticism I swoon,

We’d all be lost without you…so thank you for leaving the night light on for us, mama moon 🙏
