Dear Life

Keep Holding On

Dear Life

I'm still holding on for dear life. Even at the edge of death I'm near life. I see and hear life.

The blue blood coursing through my veins flows on and when bones and limbs come to a stop, my heart goes on.

I'm just barely breathing, but I haven't taken my last breath. I only know life and never death.

When life leaves me in a puddle of my own blood beaten and broken my strongest words are forever spoken.

A drama king during setbacks who says he wants to give up, but life shines down and tells me to live up.

Am I the king of life because I cling to life? or am I still learning about everything in life?

There will be a day when my flesh is no longer alive, but perseverance of my spirit will always thrive.

Don't fear the pressures of the living, don't fear life. When close and near life keep holding on to dear life.
