Dear Friend,

I’m sorry for all the pain this will cause

But my journey must come to an end

My life was not meant for this difficult world

It was nothing you did, said or meant

Please do not feel guilty, for this was the path

I’ve been walking on since we first met

You will not understand, thirty years was my plan

There’s was no way to save me from death.

But I need you to know, that you saved me from woe

many times with your kindness and love.

So please, just remember the good times we shared

When you look to the heavens above.

I’m so sorry to send you this difficult letter

Perhaps we will meet somewhere better

Your friend x
