to know our angel is resting peacefully

Is all this poet can hope for,

And yes my dear Anabelle Lee,

I will try to say this simply.

There is a dark raven behind your soft wings that

That Stands between us like a grasping feisty, fire-like sea,(it won’t stop holding onto me)

A red, strong energy,

Unlike my own chaotic masculine and feminine airs,

I am taut like one, almost broken string,

But still it is connected to yours

As Jane Eyre’s is to Edward’s,

And our Angel is to the blonde halo,

Anabelle Lee became a deep ravine of longing for Edgar,

And the dark Raven found out.

Anabelle Lee, is truly the perfect

One for Edgar,

But He hides amongst the black blue verse

Until her golden hues can override it all again.
