Dark Sense

Without color poem

By Neusa MorenoPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In the dark, my senses twist and turn,

A world without sight, my senses yearn.

Ears perk up, to every sound,

Whispers, creaks, and footsteps around.

The scent of fear fills my nose,

As my heart races, my fear grows.

Touch becomes my only guide,

As I navigate this place inside.

Taste is bitter, like the fear I feel,

A metallic taste, like blood that spills.

In the dark, my senses betray,

A world without light, a world of dismay.

But even in this world so bleak,

A glimmer of hope, a light I seek.

A voice in the darkness, a hand to hold,

A reminder that I am not alone in this cold.

And as the light breaks through the night,

My senses come alive, a symphony of delight.

Colors, sounds, and smells so sweet,

A world reborn, and my senses complete.
