The Window
gaze beyond the glass
seasons changing, ebb and flow
a dynamic photo
Our Home
yesterday’s dishes
scattered like smiles and laughter
a home filled with joy
Regret / Doubt
buried deep inside
sharp edges sting and wound me
unable to make breath
Drive
flying at top speed
focus as small details fade
freedom before me
Hourglass
we are all collectors
gathering up grains of sand
sacred memories
Nourishing Meal
sadness fades away
warming the body and soul
a nourishing meal
A Good Home
stable foundation
strong and sturdy walls of love
this is a good home
Spring
a crisp morning light
awakens the world's colors
the first dawn of spring
Contemplate Flowers
an honor to see
colors bloom beautifully
sacred are flowers

Daily Poetry Collection Special Edition Vol. 1
This week's edition of my weekly Haiku collection about another love of mine. The Tarot. I have been in love with Tarot since seeing my very first deck around the age of 10 and have since collected many decks through the years. This week I focused each day on one of the first 7 cards of the Major Arcana. I will also switch up styles. You notice that these are not Haikus but Tanka's. Another form of Japanese poetry that follows the 5-7-5-7-7 scheme. The first two lines talk about something concrete. The third line is a pivot line that connects the two halves of the poem together, and the last two address emotions or inner reflection. Now I don't follow the concrete lines and reflection lines faithfully, but I try to include a pivot and shift with each poem.

Super Bowl LX Recap: A Team Called Hawks
Sixty. The Super Bowl turned 60! Still amazes me that this was the sixtieth Super Bowl played in NFL history. It seems like yesterday that I watched Super Bowl XXVII, the first SB I ever watched. The QB who won Super Bowl XXVII has since called a few SBs, and will call next year's game, but that's another story. Super Bowl LX took place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the home stadium of the San Francisco 49ers. However, it was one of their division foes who represented the NFC, as the Seattle Seahawks faced off against the New England Patriots.
