laying down in the tall grass

With you, long ago

It feels like that way

In some of these quiet moments

We create.

In these moments,

We propel the best parts of the past together

In our new chapter,

And I crumble a bit under that glossy,

Stern yet careful look,

Because that’s how I felt long ago,

When I first saw you,

When we first were dreaming

In that tall grass, which was our

Secret spot,

And I know somewhere,

That’s the memory that never crumbled,

Because I feel it still

In our gaze

It’s there,

And here I am

Crumbling away,

It’s a soft feeling and I feel it carry us away.
