Crossing the Bridge

The goal is to make the journey meaningful

We live on this Earth,

as we make the

inevitable journey,

toward the final gate.

We came alone,

will transition lonely too.

The path is long,

pretty and scary,

and we must

walk by ourselves,

carrying own baggage,

yet, along the way,

if we find company,

the sojourn can

become lovely.

So let us,

offer companionship,

tenderly hold hands,

share our resources,

tell our stories,

listen to theirs,

solve problems,

encourage, inspire,

and shower love,

as we cross the bridge.

"We're all just walking each other home." - Baba Ram Dass
