Criminally anxious
No vision to help us, no schedule for the unlucky.
The agony of dialling the number weighs me down,
as my heart begins to race and the numbers of time goes by,
yet no one answers.
What do I say, are the words written on the page any good?
Do I understand my need to call,
Will they help to relieve the anxiety and these thoughts?
Will we be left with nothing but zeros in our account?
Will they take the breath out of me for waiting in vain?
No vision to help us, no schedule for the unlucky.
Trying to wave a hand over our head,
trying to get their attention,
but a criminal in pink is shaking.
A criminal in glaring headlights,
too shy to mention the wheels pressing in.
Too obedient to suggest the things needed,
too emotional to keep a nervous hand from shaking.
