Christmas used to be a merry time of year.

Now, we can’t see our loved ones at all.

I remember those happy smiles of cheer.

And, together we watched the snow fall.

Now, we can’t see our loved ones at all,

Unless we video chat on a screen.

And, together we watched snow fall.

This year, will only be a dream.

Unless we video chat on a screen.

The joy of a hug is lost to a germ.

This year, it will only be a dream.

Christmas pasts are remembered in firm.

The joy of a hug is lost to a germ.

We think of the love from before.

Christmas pasts are remembered in firm.

We await the opening of a new door.

What we once knew is gone this year.

I remember those happy smiles of cheer.

Only 365 more days to clear.

Christmas used to be a merry time of year.
