Cosmic Reminiscence

Stranded Without Gods, POEM 11

Painting "LOVE" by Justyna Koziczak

Moments like these last like ticks on a clock

That doesn't make them insignificant; but fleeting

In the cup of the cosmos there exist a drop of water, a grain of sand and a wisp of wind - to which we've drank, pressed upon and felt...

Though those elements are vast and omni, our prints are now essential to their function...

They carry memory

Because though moments may be fleeting, your presence brings the catharsis the universe needs to paint empty space with orbs of light...

In the fleeting moment that was us, a string of ether escaped the vile that encompasses all existence on earth, and tied itself around the gallop of the beast carrying the sky on it's back...

It fell forward and collapsed on it's chin, and with it every color, every shape and every sound collided in jubilation...

It made the galaxy even more endless, spitting dietic consolations onto the walls of it's non-tangible surface...

A moment is fleeting, but a presence can spin webs of multicolored tales for those below to connect like fable...

And that is what you became to me, in that fleeting moment of immeasurable beauty...

A tale...

A fable...

An entity of cosmic proportions...

Cosmic as memory...

…but fleeting like a tick on a clock; because something so omni was never meant to be shackled to something so rigid as these frail wrists...
