In a little community, where laughter fills the air

Children gather 'round, a sight so fair

With eager eyes, they watch the paved road

Anticipation in their hearts, they eagerly await.

They know the regular time, never slowed or delayed

From mommy, daddy, aunty, or grandpa's hand

They gather coins to join the delightful band

In the meantime some chatter, some hum a song.

Disappointment lingers if the chance is missed

If by rare chance, one was late gathering funds

Or doing the chores of no fun

But hope ignites anew - he might pass my way again.

Steadfast they wait, listening for the bike's melody

His arrival brings joy, and their happiness unfurls

"Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate swirls!" they shout

On a warm, sunny day, a bright blue sky.

With glee, they hold their cool treats, a taste so sweet

In this simple scene, happiness serene

They cherish these moments, the ice cream man's call

Bringing joy to these children’s lives.
