Concrete Labyrinth- A wild Dog Story

Yesterday, I was walking on the road, I saw a dog. He was a wild dog who had recently come to the city. In this story, I write about how he is overwhelmed by city life.

Dog Which lost his home.

---------------Start----------------------------

From whispering woods, a blur of tawny fur,

He stumbled in, a wild heart unprepared.

The city roared, a monstrous, alien purr,

Where trees were steel and silence disappeared.

------------------------------------------------

His paws, accustomed to the yielding earth,

Now met with stone, a cold and jarring sting.

Each passing face, a mask devoid of worth,

No scent of kindness, no familiar thing.

------------------------------------------

He sought a guide, a hand to understand

The frantic pulse, the dizzying array.

But eyes averted, hurried, unplanned,

Left him adrift at close of day.

---------------------------------------

The road, a river of relentless steel,

Reflected back his fear in fractured light.

He yearned to cross, a primal, raw appeal,

To find a haven in the coming night.

------------------------------------------

Each horn a threat, each engine's angry cough,

A constant echo of his growing dread.

He pressed against a wall, a trembling waif,

His wildness muted, his spirit bled.

-----------------------------------------

He saw a child, with eyes of curious grace,

And for a moment, hope began to bloom.

But hands were pulled, a swift and firm embrace,

And he was left alone within the gloom.

------------------------------------------------

Oh, concrete labyrinth, a cruel design,

To trap a soul that knew the open sky.

He was a whisper of the wild, entwined,

With cold indifference, left alone to die.

----------------------------------------------

He whimpered softly, a plea unheard, unseen,

A wild heart broken by the city's might.

Lost in the maze, where life is harsh and mean,

He faded slowly into the lonely night.

-------------------The End--------------------------------

I was so emotional seeing him wandering here and there, making noises for help, but nobody was helping him. He kept crossing the road again and again—maybe he was looking for his home, but he found nothing at all. He seemed to be feeling very alone in this world. Then, I tried to help him by giving him some food. He started to become familiar with me. I got him into my car and took him to a nearby forest. As soon as he saw the forest, he became energetic again and started running into it, as if he had finally become free. I was so happy when I did that.

----------------------------------------------------

Kindness doesn't always require grand gestures—sometimes, a little help at the right moment can change a life. Helping that lost dog reminded me that freedom and belonging mean everything, not just to people, but to animals too. Compassion has the power to heal.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

My One Regret:- The only thing I regret is that I forgot to take a picture with him. It would have been a beautiful memory to hold onto—a reminder of the bond we shared, even if just for a short time.
